Not asking for references and checking them. Earlier this year i hired a company to remodel the main bathroom in my 5 bedroom home. Their bid seemed fine and they never asked for a ton of money upfront and work was started. I guess they were about 4/5 done when we started noticing things were not right. They had replaced the tub with a walkin shower with sliding glass doors. There was a bench built in on the opposite side of the doors but the tile cement was not setting up right allowing the tile to cave in. They had to redo it 3 times before it finally took. Ok so job is completed so i thought and final payment paid. They left and we then noticed they never completed the paint job, and the shower nozzle was all messed up. Rather than have those idiots return i paid my plumber to fix the nozzle right. Now we are faced with mold on the ceiling where we never had it before the workers started.
